Straight Shaft
The classic canoe paddle. What more can be said? One thing to keep in mind is shaft length with a Straight Shaft paddle. These are typically longer than a Bent Shaft version. Often people choose lengths from the floor to somewhere between their chin and nose while standing.
Single Bent Shaft
Bent Shaft paddles add efficiency and performance. While paddling, having the blade perpendicular to the water is the most efficient portion of the paddle stroke. A Bent Shaft gives you a longer portion of the paddle stroke that is perpendicular with the water for more efficiency per paddle stroke. The degree of bend typically varies from only a few degrees to about 18 degrees. The steeper the bend, the more power you will get out of each stroke. However, it will also take more energy per stroke to use. We offer single Bent Shaft paddles in 10, 14, and 18 degree bends. A 10 degree bend is for a more leisurely paddle. A 14 degree bend is a good mixture of easy paddle and performance. An 18 degree bend is our steepest bend and is for higher performance.

Double Bent Shaft
A Double Bent Shaft paddle is a twist to the normal Bent Shaft design. It provides the added performance of a bend at the throat of the paddle like a Single Bent Shaft paddle, but the second bend before the grip aides in comfort giving you excellent performance and superior comfort. Our 13 degree bend at the throat provides for a good combination of performance and leisure during paddling. The 6 degree bend before the grip brings the grip back toward the line of the paddle blade for greater comfort during use.
